The Privy Purse

Thinking Today:

Did abolishing the privy purse slow down capital accumulation in the country by gradually eliminating the ultra-rich that could turn into angel investors and venture capitalists someday? Would we have had a flourishing startup sector earlier if the royalty had not dissolved owing to this step? Or would it just have been a financial burden on the exchequer while promoting inequality?
