India Will Rise

Everytime India tried to rise, something pulled her down. A lot of times due to her own inner contradictions but mostly by the world outside. We almost made it during Bose, we tried again during Shastri and we were just about to fly during Narsimha Rao, but we were pulled back each time. Sometimes through the power of money, sometimes through external propaganda that made us believe we are inferior for life but more so because of our own hands that joined the chorus against us. 

But the new generation is educated. We now know who we are and who we were before the world tried to make us into something. Yes the future looks bleak sometimes, but we are aware that this is a 4000 year old civilization whereas the darkness was just 500 years old. We are a country the world envied for thousands of years. We were the talk of every town for our skills, creativity, knowledge, spirituality, and riches. 

Homes in the western nations argued over the extravagant spending on luxury items from India, the curious minds desperately translated the vedas and learnt Sanskrit to seek direction for new scientific discoveries, and students world over rushed to our universities to gain world class education.

We were the envy of the world then, we are the envy of the world now and we may always be envied. But this time we are aware, connected to the ground and our roots are strong. Let the world invest in whatever they wish to against us.

This time we will rise.
